The Mission
By providing simple to use, self governed & decentralized web3 infrastructure on the akash.network we help you unchain yourself and rediscover the roots of the Internet.
The internet is at a difficult place – having profited from the rapid growth through centralisation it is at a junction where we can regain control over information, data, access and personal freedom.
Blockchain technologies will enable a new way of establishing trust by trusting the system and not parties. With akash.network we have the possibility to share and provide compute, gpu and storage from everywhere in the world – be that a small homelab or a a-class server farm. The open and transparent marketplace will drive adoption of decentralized services even more since new ways to establish service levels will be needed and possible.
d3akash.cloud is a homelab style provider that will act as signpost for the change to come and will help people adopt the technologies and spread the learning on how to run great services from home as a passive-active income – and have a lot of enjoyment participating in the great akash community.
Cloud Infrastructure
Homelab style – descaled, powerful, efficient, green
Co2 low footprint
Using small scale devices like the AsRock X300 series d3akash can run a cluster of three of those with less than 300Wh. Combined with a 7.5kWh photovoltaik system the whole infrastructure runs very Co2 efficient
Ceph Storage
Using simple, fast direct attached storage with Ceph fully redundant storage enables fast and easy to maintain storage. d3akash is running a single storage node with 6TB raw SSD storage
x64 CPUs
AMD Ryzen 5700G, 8 core, 16 Threads per CPU with 48 or 64 GB RAM, 1 TB NVMe.
Running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS with livepatch enabled and tuned for akash workloads. Monitoring with netdata.cloud
Business Class Internet Connection
Using a mix of Multigig, 10Gbe and 10Gbe SFP+ local network with a DSL Business Class with 400mbps down and 100mbps upstream. Firewall, IDS/IPS and hardened network security like HSM two factor authentication.
